MILLSTONE POWER STATION UNITS 1, 2 AND 3 REQUEST FOR EXEMPTIONS FROM 10 CFR 73.55 POWER REACTOR SECURITY REQUIREMENTS FINAL RULE Pursuant to 10 CFR 73.5, Dominion Nuclear Connecticut, Inc. (DNC) is requesting exemptions from portions of 10 CFR 73.55 of the final rule, Power Reactor Security Requirements, which was published March 27, 2009 in the Federal Register.

Specifically, DNC is requesting that the compliance date for implementing certain measures required by the new rule be extended for Millstone Power Station. The exemption requests concerning alarm station requirements are provided in Attachment 1 and the proposed list of milestone dates is provided in Attachment 2. The exemption requests for the uninterruptible power supplies are provided in Attachment 3 and the proposed list of milestone dates is provided in Attachment 4.

The attached material contains Safeguards Information as defined by 10 CFR 73.22 and its disclosure to unauthorized individuals is prohibited by Section 147 of the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended.

DNC is requesting that the review of these exemption requests be expedited due to a March 31, 2010 compliance date for the final rule.
