Withdrawal of American Society of Mechanical Engineers Inservice Inspection Program Relief Request 1-1SI-34

Reference:

Letter from TVA to the NRC dated August 28, 2009, "American Society of Mechancial Engineers Inservice Inspection Program Relief Request 1-ISI-34" The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) submitted Relief Request 1-ISI-34 to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) in the referenced letter. The purpose was to request approval of an alternative to the requirements of the 2001 Edition through the 2003 Addenda of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code, Section X1 for the Sequoyah Nuclear Plant Unit 1 third inservice inspection interval.

Subsequent discussions were held with NRC representatives and TVA has decided to withdraw this relief request. Accordingly, WVA is withdrawing relief request 1-ISI-34 as submitted in the referenced letter.
