Apparent Violation The Fermi licensee failed to complete the olfactory and tactile portions of the physical examinations for licensed operators as required by 10 CFR 55.23. The licensee submitted numerous inaccurate applications for renewal of reactor and senior reactor operator licenses and for initial license applicants that certified that the medical testing had been completed. This information was material to the NRC because it formed the basis for licensing decisions for plant operators and had NRC known, the NRC would not have issued the new licenses or renewed existing licenses without requiring completion of the medical testing. This is an apparent violation of 10 CFR 50.9.
