Financial Information for License Renewal
Dear Dr. Bernard,
The NRC is continuing the review of financial information submitted with your application for license renewal. To facilitate completion of the review, please submit the following information no later than June 5, 2009.
- 1. Provide a statement of the decommissioning method to be used (e.g., DECON or other method).
- 2. Please state if MIT included the other costs, such as energy, equipment, and supplies, within the labor costs or burial costs portion of the decommissioning cost estimate (the staff notes that MIT identified in the May 29, 2008, RAI submittal that 89 percent of the cost estimate was for labor and 11 percent was for burial).
- 3. Provide the updated Escrow Agreement reflecting the current (2008 dollars) decommissioning cost estimate.
