OF TELEPHONE CALL HELD ON AUGUST 5, 2009, BETWEEN THE U.S. NUCLEAR REGULATORY COMMISSION AND ENTERGY NUCLEAR OPERATIONS, INC., CONCERNING INFORMATION PROVIDED BY ENTERGY IN A LETTER DATED JULY 27, 2009 A representative of the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC or the staff), Ms. Kimberly Green, and a representative of Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc., (Entergy or the applicant),

Mr. Michael Stroud, held a telephone call on August 5, 2009, to discuss clarification needed on information provided in a letter from Entergy dated July 27, 2009.

By letter dated July 27, 2009, Entergy provided an amendment to its Buried Piping and Tanks Inspection Program. In that letter, Entergy stated that it plans to use qualified inspection methods with demonstrated effectiveness. The staff asked Entergy to provide clarification on this statement. Entergy stated that it will provide clarification on the statement by letter.

The applicant had an opportunity to comment on this summary.
