Dear Sir or Madam,

By Reference 1, Entergy requested NRC approval pursuant to 10 CFR 50.55a (a)(3)(i), of a proposed alternative repair plan, Pilgrim Relief Request (PRR)-19, for Jet Pump Instrumentation Nozzle Weld, RPV-N9A-1, overlay installation.

In support of NRC review and approval, Entergy made a commitment in PRR-19 to submit to the NRC within 60 days from the restart of Refueling Outage 17 (i.e., by July 18, 2009), a stress analysis summary report demonstrating that the N-9A nozzle to safe-end dissimilar metal weld (DMW) will perform its intended design function after weld overlay installation.

By this letter, as discussed with the NRC/NRR Project Manager, Entergy is revising the submittal date to August 15, 2009, due to Entergy Pilgrim's contractor work schedule to provide the completed report.

I Entergy Nuclear Operations, Inc. Letter Number: 2.09.044 Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station Page 2 There are no new commitments made in this submittal.
