- Folks, As a heads up, Feedback so far has identified information needed to supplement your application that is classified so far as:
Non-acceptance with the opportunity to supplement You will have to supplement the application to demonstrate that the pH in the sump remains greater than 7 over the period of 30 days post-LOCA. You are requested to provide the following information:
- 1. Provide time dependant values of strong acid concentrations in the sump for a period of 30 days post-LOCA.
- 2. Describe the analysis methodology used, including assumptions and inputs, to determine the pH in the sump water during a period of 30 days post-LOCA. Include detailed calculations of time dependant pH values in the sump during a 30 day period post-LOCA to demonstrate that the pH remains greater than 7 throughout this time period.
(Please refer to Calvert Cliffs LAR for examples of calculations, ML082480671.)
This email will be placed in ADAMS to document our request to satisfy LIC-109 guidance.
- Thanks, Brenda L. Mozafari, Senior Project Manager Division of Operating Reactors - LPL22 St. Lucie Units 1 and 2; Turkey Point Units 3 and 4 301-415-2020
