Dear Dr. Richards:

On behalf of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), I would like to inform you that the content of the information in the route application for transportation of spent nuclear fuel, dated May 27, 2009, has been determined to be complete. The NRC is currently conducting a detailed review of the application. The detailed review will evaluate the application to support the ability of the proposed route to meet the applicable regulatory requirements. We will provide results of our review of the application within 45 days of the date of this letter. To facilitate our review, no changes or supplements to this application should be submitted, except in response to a request for additional information.
