WASHINGTON STATE UNIVERSITY Nuclear Radiation Center July 1, 2009 Document Control Desk U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Washington DC 20555-0001 Re: Docket Number 50-027 Washington State University has prepared a Safeguards Contingency Plan in accordance with requirements stated in 10 CFR §73.60 (e), including requirements specified in 10 CFR §73 Appendix C. The Safeguards Contingency Plan was submitted to the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission on May 26, 2009.
Washington State University has made the determination that the Safeguards Contingency Plan does not decrease the safeguards effectiveness of the WSU Security Plan. Therefore, in accordance with the conditions set forth in 10 CFR 50.54 (p)(2) WSU has implemented the Safeguards Contingency Plan. The Contingency Plan will remain in effect as long as the conditions in 10 CFR §73.60 apply to WSU....
