SUBJECT:
SUMMARY
OF JUNE 25, 2009, MEETING WITH TENNESSEE VALLEY AUTHORITY (TVA) REGARDING THE SCOPE OF FUTURE SUBMITTALS IN THE MECHANICAL AREA On June 25, 2009, a Category 1 public meeting was held between the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and representatives of TVA at NRC Headquarters, One White Flint North, 11555 Rockville Pike, Rockville, Maryland. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the scope of future submittals related to the mechanical area to allow the NRC staff to estimate the amount of review resources needed to review the submittals.
The licensee presented information (ADAMS Accession No. ML091760986) that described the history and timeline of major submittals and the NRC Safety Evaluation Report.
The staff queried the licensee on specific submittals related to the mechanical area and the licensee discussed how to identify the scope based on current docketed information referenced in the licensees presentation.
Members of the public were not in attendance. Public Meeting Feedback forms were not received.
