This letter refers to an investigation conducted by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC),

Office of Investigations (OI) to determine whether a former contract security specialist at Palisades Nuclear Plant was discriminated against for raising safety concerns. Based on the evidence developed during the investigation, we did not substantiate the allegation. The synopsis from the OI report of investigation is enclosed.

SYNOPSIS This investigation was initiated on June 17, 2008, by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission, Office of Investigations, Region III, to determine whether a former contract Security Specialist at the Palisades Nuclear Plant was discriminated against for raising safety concerns.

Based upon the evidence, this investigation did not substantiate the allegation that a former contract Security Specialist was discriminated against for raising safety concerns.
