SUBJECT:
DROP-IN VISIT FROM PSEG (Salem and Hope Creek)
On June 18, 2009, Samuel Collins, Jim Clifford, Darrell Roberts, Art Burritt, Larry Doerflein and Dana Caron met with PSEGs Tom Joyce, President and Chief Nuclear Officer, Bob Braun, Vice President, Salem Station, John Perry, Hope Creek Plant Manager, Carl Fricker, Vice President Operations Support, and Christine Neely, Director Regulatory Affairs. The licensee requested this meeting to provide NRC senior regional management the status of activities at Salem and Hope Creek stations.
During the meeting, the following topics were discussed:
PSEGs Path to Nuclear Excellence Plan Security Update Hope Creek Performance Update Salem Performance Update License Renewal and New Nuclear Update The visit began at 2:00 p.m. and ended at 4:30 p.m. No regulatory decisions were requested or made and there were no commitments made for any follow-up actions on the part of Region I.
A meeting handout was provided by PSEG and is enclosed with this memorandum.
