PUBLIC MEETING/OPEN HOUSE TO REVIEW 2008 END-OF-CYCLE PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT FOR DUANE ARNOLD ENERGY CENTER
Dear Mr. Anderson:
This letter is to inform you that the Nuclear Regulatory Commission will conduct a Category 3 public meeting/open house on Tuesday, June 30, 2009, at 5:00 p.m. (CDT) at the Hiawatha Community Center in Hiawatha, IA. The purpose of this meeting is to provide an open public forum to discuss the Agencys annual assessment of Duane Arnold Energy Center. The NRC will be available to answer questions from the public regarding plant performance, as well as the Agencys oversight of the facility. FPL Energy Duane Arnold is encouraged to attend this meeting.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter will be made available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRCs document system (ADAMS).
ADAMS is accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
