FARLEY NUCLEAR PLANT, UNIT NOS. 1 AND 2-DAM SAFETY AND OPERATION INSPECTION REPORT
Dear Mr. Ajluni:
Enclosed is a copy of the Dam Safety Inspection Report prepared by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) for the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission. The enclosure contains the results of an inspection on April 9, 2009, of the Category I Cooling Water Storage Pond at the Joseph M. Farley Nuclear Plant, Unit Nos. 1 and 2. During this inspection there were no conditions found that should adversely affect the immediate safety, permanence, and operational reliability of the Category I Cooling Water Storage Pond or present a threat to the safety of the public or the nuclear facility. A review was made of the project record and instrumentation data that have been prepared since the last inspection conducted on July 10, 2007. The storage pond appeared to be appropriately operated and maintained.
At FERC's request, the enclosure is not being made publicly available since it contains critical energy infrastructure information.
