U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission ATTN: Document Control Desk Mail Stop: OWFN P1-35 Washington, D.C. 20555-0001 In the Matter of ) Docket Nos. 50-259 Tennessee Valley Authority ) 50-260 50-296 BROWNS FERRY NUCLEAR PLANT (BFN) - RESPONSE FOR TO REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING UNITS 1, 2, AND 3 - TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS (TS) CHANGE 444 - ADOPTION OF CHANGES TO STANDARD TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS UNDER TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION TASK FORCE (TSTF) CHANGE NUMBER - 448, REVISION 3, REGARDING CONTROL ROOM ENVELOPE HABITABILITY This letter responds to the May 8, 2009, NRC verbal request that BFN provide NRC with revised TS 3.7.7 Condition F. The Enclosure provides a revision to the Units 1, 2, and 3 TS pages as requested by the Staff.
The revised pages do not alter the original determination that there are no significant hazards considerations associated with the proposed changes, nor do the changes alter the originally submitted Environmental Assessment and Finding of No Significant Impact provided by TVA's March 27, 2008 letter.
U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Page 2 May 26, 2009 In accordance with 10 CFR 50.91 (b)(1), TVA is sending a copy of this letter and the Enclosures to the Alabama State Department of Public Health. TVA currently plans to implement TS-444 within 60 days of NRC approval.
