NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS NRC PARTICIPATION IN THE JUNE 2009 KEWAUNEE EMERGENCY PREPARDNESS EXERCISE
Dear Mr. Christian:
This letter confirms the discussion between members of our staffs to meet and discuss outreach activities in preparation for the NRC participation in the June 2009 Kewaunee Emergency Preparedness exercise. Specifically, this meeting will provide you and your staff with an opportunity to present selected topics in advance of this exercise. Based on discussions between our staffs, we understand that these topics may include information about the Kewaunee Power Station emergency response organization, response facilities, and the extent of exercise participation with the State of Wisconsin.
We plan to have managers and staff from NRCs Region III office who may be participating in the June exercise in attendance.
The meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. CDT on May 26, 2009, at the U.S. NRC Region III office Main Conference Room. This meeting is open to the public.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRCs Rules of Practice, a copy of this letter will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records System (PARS) component of NRCs Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS), accessible from the NRC Web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html (the Public Electronic Reading Room).
