Letter from Mr. M. D. Flaherty (CCNPP), to Document Control Desk (NRC) dated December 29, 2008, Submittal of Fourth Ten-Year Interval Inservice Inspection Program Plan and Request for Approval of Alternatives (Relief Requests) to American Society of Mechanical Engineers Code,Section XI In Reference (a), Calvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant, Inc. (Calvert Cliffs) submitted its Fourth Ten-Year Interval Inservice Inspection Program Plan and related relief requests. One of the relief requests, Relief Request ISI-04-01, involved the use of American Society of Mechanical Engineers Code Case N-747. At this time Calvert Cliffs has decided to withdraw Relief Request ISI-04-0 1. Rather than pursue a plant specific approach, Calvert Cliffs has decided to work with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers in developing an industry-wide approach to support approval of Code Case N-747 as part of Regulatory Guide 1.147.
