La Crosse Boiling Water Reactor (LACBWR)
Possession-Only License No. DPR-45 Documentation of Telephone Conference This letter documents our telephone conversation of December 12, 2008, in which we discussed the organizational changes that have been implemented at the La Crosse BoilingjWater Reactor.
The changes in responsibilities and reporting relationships have been implemented to streamline and strengthen the organization in preparation for the Dry Cask Storage Project, as well as to fill the position of Plant Manager due to the impending retirement of the current Plant Manager, Roger Christians.
The changes that have been implemented include the following:
" Richard Cota has assumed the title and responsibilities of Operations Supervisor.
- Dan Tesar has been assigned as a Technical Support Engineer and will serve as an assistant to the Project Manager for the DCS Project, including performing project related training.
" A foreman in each of the craft areas has been designated. These foremen will direct the activities of their individual groups.
- The Security Captain, Martin Moe, will assume more of the day-to-day duties of security administration, such as procedure and plan changes, training and other duties. The few remaining duties regarding security and oversight will be assigned to the Plant Manager.
" The Health and Safety Supervisor, Larry Nelson, will add the duties of Maintenance Supervisor to his job description, but will administer the maintenance tasks through the recently appointed foremen.
- Mike Brasel will succeed Mr. Christians as Plant Manager and will maintain oversight of the DCS Project as well.

These changes have been made to improve the work processes at LACBWR and will better facilitate the completion of the Dry Cask Storage Project.
