SURRY POWER STATION - NRC CYBER SECURITY COMPOSITE REVIEW REPORT
Dear Mr. Christian:
On February 27, 2009, the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) completed the onsite portion of a composite review of the cyber security program implemented at your Surry Nuclear Station. The purpose of the onsite review was to support a research initiative to identify the activities licensees are performing to implement cyber security programs that address control systems vulnerability mitigation measures and grid stability. The enclosed report documents the observations identified during the review, which were discussed with you and other members of your staff on February 27, 2009, during the NRC exit meeting.
The review examined activities conducted under your license as they relate to cyber security.
Within these areas, the observation consisted of a selected examination of procedures and representative records, observations of activities, and interviews with personnel.
The material enclosed herewith contains sensitive Security-Related Information as defined by 10 CFR 2.390 and its disclosure to unauthorized individuals is prohibited. Therefore, the material will not be placed in the Public Document Room.
