OF THE APRIL 7, 2009, PUBLIC MEETING TO DISCUSS THE QUAD CITIES STATION, UNITS 1 AND 2, END-OF-CYCLE PLANT PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT On April 7, 2009, the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) held a public meeting at the Best Western SteepleGate Inn in Davenport, Iowa. The meeting was between NRC Region III management and Exelon Generation Company management to discuss the NRCs assessment of the safety performance of Quad Cities Station, Units 1 and 2, for the period from January 1 through December 31, 2008. The NRC letter and meeting notice for this meeting can be found in the Agencywide Documents Access and Management System (ADAMS) as ML090780748 and ML090780766, respectively. A list of principal NRC and licensee meeting participants can be found in the Enclosure.

The NRC began the meeting with an overview of the NRCs Mission, the Reactor Oversight Process (ROP), national ROP results, and the Action Matrix in general. This was followed by a discussion of the NRCs assessment of the performance of Quad Cities Station, Units 1 and 2, in calendar year 2008, which was documented in the March 4, 2009, End-Of-Cycle assessment letter, as ML090630361. As part of this regulatory performance meeting, Exelon briefly responded to the NRCs assessment. The presentations, including the licensees presentation, are documented as ML091180214 and ML091180225. At the end of the meeting, members of the public were given the opportunity to ask questions of NRC officials.
