ST. LUCIE NUCLEAR PLANT: SECURITY MANAGER PROVIDED INCOMPLETE AND INACCURATE INFORMATION TO NRC OFFICIALS RELATED TO THE CONDUCT OF FORCE ON FORCE DRILLS (OFFICE OF INVESTIGATIONS CASE NUMBER 2-2008-037).

Enclosed for your information is the synopsis of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC)

Office of Investigations (OI) completed report regarding the concern that the St. Lucie Security Manager willfully provided incomplete and inaccurate information to the NRC during a force on force exercise on or about April 1, 2008.

OI did not substantiate that the St. Lucie Security Manager willfully provided incomplete and inaccurate information to the NRC during a force on force exercise on or about April 1, 2008.

We plan no further action with regard to this matter. Should you have any questions concerning this letter, please contact us.

In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its enclosure will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC Public Document Room or from the Publicly Available Records (PARS) component of NRC's document system (ADAMS). Not for Public Disclosure Without Approval of Field Office Director, Office of Investigations, Region II Official Use Only - OI Investigation Information Case No. 2-2008-037 Enclosure Official Use Only - OI Investigation Information SYNOPSIS This investigation was initiated by the U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Office of Investigations (OI), Region II (RII), on April 23, 2008, to determine whether the Security Manager employed at the St. Lucie Nuclear Plant (St. Lucie), willfully provided incomplete and inaccurate information to the NRC during a force on force exercise on or about April 1, 2008.

Based upon the documentation and testimony developed during this investigation, OI:RII did not substantiate that the St. Lucie Security Manager willfully provided incomplete and inaccurate information to the NRC during a force on force exercise on or about April 1, 2008.
