Diablo Canyon L061C Post Exam Analysis Following the administration and grading of the L061C written exam, a question by question analysis was performed by the exam writer and proctor, Ron Fortier and Ops Representative, Orrin Oliver for all missed questions.
All missed questions were found to be operationally based and valid. A check of the training material did not identify any new weaknesses in the material that needed to be addressed.
It was decided to remediate the candidates on all missed questions, not just those missed by half or more.
The following questions were missed by one candidate:
15, 36, 37, 38, 39, 41, 45, 49, 52, 60, 67, 68, 71, 72, 73, 77, 79, 83, 84, 88, 91 and 92.
The following questions were missed by two candidates (50%):
1, 11, 20, 53, 55, 63, 66, 90, 93, 94, 96 and 99.
The following questions were missed by three candidates (75%):
9 and 23.
For questions missed by a single candidate, the remediation involved simply reading the question and having the candidates give the information as to why the answer was right and each distractor was incorrect.
For questions missed by 2 or more candidates, the reference for the answer, Tech Specs, OIM drawing etc, was used to cover the material and ensure the candidates understood the material tested and why the answer was correct.
This remediation occurred on Friday, February 13, 2009.
