1 Management Actions:

  • The total number of positives on page 1 differs from that on page 2 due to the refusal listed on page 2.

As this was not a positive test, it is not included in the page I summation.

Refusal: Contractor refused to take the pre-access test. Was counseled this would be a permanent denial from the industry by Security Access/ FFD supervisor. Contractor acknowledged this and was denied.

All persons testing positive were denied access. Their supervisor and access requestor were notified.

Only one contractor who tested positive had unescorted access prior to the test being conducted. In this case a supervisory review was conducted. There was no concern noted with the contractor's performance. Supervisor evaluation concluded the work performed had no impact on plant safety; therefore no remedial actions were required.

R.E. Ginna Nuclear Power Plant does not differentiate between long-term and short-term contractors.

All contractors who have obtained unescorted access are considered short-term.
