"Waste Confidence Rule"

Dear NRC,

The Waste Confidence Rule is based on faith, not science and therefore should be scrapped entirely. NRC must review the environmental, social and economic consequences of a spent fuel accident on a site by site basis, as a requirement of NEPA, before issuing any license extension or new license.

NRC must also incorporate the findings of the National Academy of Sciences study on spent fuel security that found water storage in above ground pools such as at Vermont Yankee to be very vulnerable to malicious attack.
