Anderson (FPL Energy Duane Arnold) to Document Control Desk (USNRC), License Renewal Application, Supplement 1: Changes Resulting from Issues Raised in the Review Status of the License Renewal Application for the Duane Arnold Energy Center, dated January 23, 2009 By Reference 1, FPL Energy Duane Arnold, LLC (hereafter, FPL Energy Duane Arnold) provided the application for a renewed operating license for the Duane Arnold Energy Center (DAEC). To assist the NRC review of the application, Reference 2 provided supporting information. By Reference 3, FPL Energy Duane Arnold provided Supplement 1 to the license renewal application. The purpose of this letter is to provide updated supporting information due to Supplement 1.
Enclosed with this letter are four revised drawings that replace the corresponding four drawings sent with Reference 2. The drawings are not part of the application.
NG-09-0070 February 4, 2009 Page 2 of 2 In addition, for the convenience of the NRC Staff, the following items for information only are provided directly to the NRC License Renewal Project Manager:
" Four paper copy sets of the four revised License Renewal Boundary Drawings.
" Forty (40) CDs (reviewer version) containing the LRA (with Supplement 1),
Boundary Drawings, and Updated Final Safety Analysis Report (Revision 19)
(UFSAR). The CDs contain hyperlinks within the application and between the application and the UFSAR and License Renewal Boundary Drawings.. Also included on the CDs is an Excel file containing the 3.X.2 Tables. The Excel file, UFSAR and Boundary Drawings are included to facilitate the review of the LRA,.but are not part of the application.
Copies of this reviewer version of the CD are also being provided directly to the NRC Region III Office, the NRC Senior Resident Inspector, and the NRC DAEC Project Manager, as well as to the State of Iowa.
This letter contains no new commitments nor revises any previous commitments.
