Dear Mr. Anderson,

Mr. Shighella and Mr. Silberg:

The U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) staff is in the process of reviewing your application request for license renewal for the Aerotest Operations Research Reactor dated February 24, 2005, as supplemented. During the NRC staff review of your request, the NRC staff determined that additional information is required to complete the review of your application. In accordance with Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations Part 50.30(b), your response must be executed in a signed original under oath or affirmation. Please provide your response to the NRC within 30 days of the date of this letter. Following receipt of the additional information, the NRC staff will continue the evaluation of your license renewal request.

REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION REGARDING APPLICATION FOR LICENSE RENEWAL AEROTEST OPERATIONS, INC.

DOCKET NO. 50-228 Your application for license renewal is currently under review by the staff of the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC). In the staffs assessment of your application, it appears Aerotest is not in compliance with the Atomic Energy Act of 1954, as amended, in so far as it is foreign owned, controlled or dominated. In light of this assessment, please describe how Aerotest is eligible for license renewal. Your response should specifically address the requirements set forth in section 104 of the Atomic Energy Act and 10 CFR 50.38 regarding foreign ownership, domination or control, including steps you have taken or are currently taking to meet these requirements. Please respond within 30 days of the date of this letter.
