KEWAUNEE POWER STATION (KPS) - PUBLIC NOTICE OF APPLICATION FOR AMENDMENT REGARDING PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO CHANGE THE REQUIRED QUANTITY OF DIESEL GENERATOR FUEL OIL IN THE STORAGE TANKS (TAC NO. ME0436)
Dear Mr. Christian:
The enclosed announcement was forwarded to the Manitowoc Herald Times Reporter for publication. This announcement relates to your application dated January 23, 2009, as supplemented on January 26, 2009, for amendment to Facility Operating License No. DPR-43.
The proposed amendment would revise the KPS facility operating license by modifying Technical Specifications Section 3.7.a.7 to change the required volume of emergency diesel generator fuel oil. Currently Section 3.7.a.7 requires 35,000 gallons of fuel oil for either diesel generator.
