- During the week of September 8th, DLR staff performed an onsite audit at Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant Units 1 and 2, in support of the staffs review of the license renewal application. The review focused on the applicants aging management programs required to demonstrate that the effects of aging will be adequately managed during the period of extended operation. While onsite, the staff reviewed the applicants documents and interviewed applicant staff. The applicant's management was briefed on the results of the audit at the exit conducted on September 11th.
