NQA 08-035 October 28, 2008 U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission Attn: Document Control Desk Washington, DC 20555-0001 Rancho Seco Nuclear Generating Station License No.DPR-54 Docket 50-312 RANCHO SECO DEFUELED SAFETY ANALYSIS REPORT UPDATE Attention: John Hickman In accordance with 10 CFR 50.71(e) and Rancho Seco Decommissioning Order Condition (A),
we are required to update the Rancho Seco Defueled Safety Analysis Report (DSAR) every 2 years. Since the last update on October 23, 2006, there have been no safety analyses or evaluations performed that require a license amendment or a change to the DSAR at this time.
We anticipate a significant change to the SAR after we complete final status surveys and the NRC has reduced the footprint of the 10 CFR Part 50 licensed facility.
