CALLAWAY PLANT, UNIT 1 - INDIVIDUAL NOTICE OF CONSIDERATION OF ISSUANCE OF AMENDMENT TO FACILITY OPERATING LICENSE, PROPOSED NO SIGNIFICANT HAZARDS CONSIDERATION DETERMINATION, AND OPPORTUNITY FOR HEARING (TAC NO. MD7516)

Dear Mr. Heflin:

By your application dated November 29, 2007 (ULNRC-05459), you requested an amendment to Facility Operating License No. NPF-30 for the Callaway Plant, Unit 1. The proposed amendment revises Technical Specification (TS) 3.4.10, "Pressurizer Safety Valves," TS 3.4.11, "Pressurizer Power Operated Relief Valves (PORVs)," and TS 3.4.12, "Cold Overpressure Mitigation System (COMS)." In the Federal Register notice published on March 3, 2008 (73 FR 15791), the NRC staff inadvertently did not address the proposed change to TS 3.4.12 in the application to extend the completion time for Condition G. This additional proposed change in the application is addressed in the attached notice of consideration to be published as an individual notice in the Federal Register.

A copy of the enclosed Notice of Consideration of Issuance of Amendment to Facility Operating License, Proposed No Significant Hazards Consideration Determination, And Opportunity For a Hearing will be published in the Federal Register.
