I am writing to provide notice that on September 22, 2008, the NRC amended the operating licenses for the Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant (PINGP), Units 1 and 2, to transfer the operating authority from Nuclear Management Company, LLC to Northern States Power Company, a Minnesota corporation (NSPM). As a result, NSPM is now the sole licensee for these units (licensed to both own and operate the units), and the applicant for renewal of the PINGP operating licenses.
