My name is Philip R. Mahowald. I am General Counsel for the Prairie Island Indian Community in the State of Minnesota.

On July 16, 2008, the Prairie Island Indian Community Tribal Council approved a motion authorizing General Counsel Philip R. Mahowald to prepare and file a petition to intervene and request an adjudicatory hearing in the United States Nuclear Regulatory Commission's Atomic Safety and Licensing Board on the Nuclear Management Company, LLC's application for renewal of its license to operate Units 1 and 2 of the Prairie Island Nuclear Generating Plant.
