ST. LUCIE NUCLEAR PLANT, UNIT 1 - DRAFT REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ON RELIEF REQUEST NO. 2 REGARDING STRUCTURAL WELD OVERLAYS (TAC NO. MD9256)
On September 16, 2008, the Piping & NDE Branch and the Plant Licensing Branch II-2 held a conference call with Florida Power & Light (FPL) to discuss draft responses to the request for additional information (RAI) for the St. Lucie Nuclear Plant, Unit 1 (SL1) Relief Request Number 2 on structural weld overlays to dissimilar metal welds. This relief request is needed by the FPL for their SL1 refueling outage scheduled for mid-October 2008. The draft RAI was provided to FPL by Brendan Moroney via email on September 9, 2008. During the teleconference, the parties agreed that RAI Question 5 would not be part of the official RAI.
