By letter dated April 16, 2008 (Reference I), NMC submitted an application requesting the transfer of operating authority from Nuclear Management Co, LLC (NMC) to Northern States Power Company, a Minnesota corporation (NSPM) for the Monticello Nuclear Generating Plant, Prairie lsland Nuclear Generating Plant and the Prairie lsland lndependent Spent Fuel Storage Installation.
Via this letter, NMC and NSPM are requesting the NRC to continue with the reviews of any and all docketed NMC submittals prior to the effective date of the upcoming NRC Order consenting to the transfer of operating authority. NSPM assumes responsibility for actions and commitments submitted by NMC, beyond the scheduled effective date of September 22,2008.
