YOUR REQUEST FOR AN APPEAL MEETING CONCERNING NRC STAFF INTERPRETATIONS OF 10 CFR PART 26 SUBPART I.
Dear Mr. Marion:
Thank you for your letter dated August 12, 2008, requesting a meeting to discuss the implementation of 10 CFR Part 26, Subpart I, Managing Fatigue. The staff has conducted many public meetings during the rulemaking process and during the development of the industry guidance, NEI-06-11, "Managing Personnel Fatigue at Nuclear Power Reactor Sites,"
providing all stakeholders numerous opportunities to comment. The staff is currently developing a Regulatory Guide to provide the Nuclear Regulatory Commissions implementation guidance for 10 CFR Part 26, Subpart I. The Draft Guide is scheduled to be released for public comment later this month and we are planning a public meeting during the comment period. We are looking forward to hearing from the Nuclear Energy Institute and other stakeholders during this meeting.
