Fermi BL 2007-01 RAI Paul,
I talked to you yesterday about a question that my licensee had on the BL 2007-01 RAIs and they came up with one more in the emails below. They are asking about the use of the word "policy" in question 9. I'm guessing you are referring to a communication "policy" (or procedure) which says how self-assessment findings and operating experience is communicated to the security force. Let me know if this is correct or if I'm way off base. The licensee is just trying to answer these as accurately as possible. Thanks.

How are self-assessment findings and relevant operating experience information communicated to the security force? Describe those processes including, but not limited to, information such as the criteria by which such information is identified, the frequency of such communications, the responsible department(s) or position(s) for such communications, and the recipients of such communications.
Include the following information in your response:
Describe the process including, but not limited to: (1) formal or informal communication methods; (2) procedures that ensure availability of the policy to staff; and, (3) training opportunities for staff to read and understand the policy.
In number (2) and (3) it uses the term "policy" (see underlined above). We would like to know what is meant by "policy." Q9 was based on Q4 in the original submittal and it is all about Self Assessments. The word policy was not used.
