CLOSEOUT OF BACKFIT DETERMINPTION By letter dated May 31, 1985, the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) responded to the staff's Request for Additional Information on Item 2.2.2 of 'eneric Letter (GL) 83-28 for Browns Ferry, Sequoyah and Watts Bar.
In the letter, TVA contended that the staff's Request appeared to violate Chapter 0514 of the Plant Specific Backfit Manual.
In our response to TVA of August 19, 1985, we informed TVA that GL 83-28 had been reviewed by both CRGR and the Commission "and thus the requirements contained therein were properly endorsed for gerpric application prior to issuance."
On November 6, 1985, I checked with the TVA licensing staff to determine TVA's reaction to our August 19, 1985 letter. TVA has accepted the stated position and does not plan to appeal it. This item is considered closed.
