TEMPORARY INSTRUCTION INSPECTION (NRC INSPECTION

REPORT 05000313/2008006 AND 05000368/2008006)

Dear Mr. Mitchell:

In a telephone conversation on August 5, 2008, Ms. Natalie Mosher and Mr. John Kirkland

made arrangements for the NRC to inspect the site-specific implementation of B.5.b Phase 2

and 3 mitigating strategies at the River Bend Station. The inspection is planned for the week of

September 8, 2008.

In order for the NRC to adequately prepare for this inspection, please furnish the documents

listed in Enclosure 1 to Mr. John Kirkland in electronic format no later than August 25, 2008.

Please have available on site at the beginning of the inspection the arrangements and

documents listed in Enclosure 2. Ms. Natalie Mosher has been advised of this request and

provided with the name and address of the NRC lead inspector.

This letter contains information collections that are subject to the Paperwork Reduction Act of

1995 (44 U.S.C. 3501 et seq.). These information collections were approved by the Office of

Management and Budget, approval number 3150-0011.
