REQUEST FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION ST. LUCIE UNITS 1 AND 2 CONTROL ROOM HABITABILITY, TSTF-448 DOCKET NOS. 50-335 AND 50-389 By letter dated May 20, 2008 (Agency Document and Management System (ADAMS)

No. ML081440425), Florida Power and Light Company (the licensee) submitted an update to a license amendment request to change the Technical Specifications for St.

Lucie units 1 and 2 in accordance with TSTF-448. On pages 2 of 16 and 9 of 16 of attachment 2 of the letter at 3/4.7.7, identification of the Control Room Emergency Ventilation System (CREVS) and the Control Room Emergency Air Cleanup System (CREACS) for Units 1 and 2 are provided respectively. However, USFAR sections 9.4.1 for Units 1 and 2 identify these systems somewhat differently. The Control Room Emergency Ventilation System in the Technical Specifications for Unit 1 is identified in the USFAR as the Control Room Ventilation System. The Control Room Emergency Air Cleanup System in the Technical Specification for Unit 2 seems be identified in the USFAR as a combination of two systems, (1) the Control Room Air Conditioning System and (2) the Control Room Emergency Cleanup System. Because of the inconsistencies it is not clear that the systems identified in the Technical Specifications are the same systems identified in the USFAR. We are requesting that you clarify the discrepancies.
