SUBJECT: RESPONSE TO NRC INSPECTION REPORT NOS 050-397/08-007;
072-035/08-001 AND NOTICE OF VIOLATION
Dear Mr. Parrish:
Thank you for your letter dated July 16, 2008, in response to our letter and Notice of Violation
dated June 17, 2008. We have reviewed your reply and find it responsive to our concerns.
Your letter concluded that full compliance was achieved on April 25, 2008. Following corrective
actions made to the welding process, the Resident Inspector observed the welding operations on
canister serial numbers 169 and 170, which occurred without further incident on April 26 and
May 1, 2008, respectively.
In accordance with 10 CFR 2.390 of the NRC's "Rules of Practice," a copy of this letter and its
enclosures, and your response will be available electronically for public inspection in the NRC
Public Document Room or from the NRC's document system (ADAMS). ADAMS is accessible
from the NRC web site at http://www.nrc.gov/reading-rm/adams.html.
