Addendum Archaeological Survey Report Vogtle Electric Generating Plant Expansion Burke County, Georgia HP-060428-001

Dear Mr. Notich:

The Historic Preservation Division (HPD) has received information concerning the above referenced project.

Our comments are offered to assist the federal agencies and their applicants in complying with the provisions of Section 106 of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966, as amended (NHPA).

HPD has reviewed archaeological survey report entitled "Addendum Report: Intensive Archaeological Survey of the Proposed Expansion Areas at the Vogtle Electric Generating Plant, Borrow Pit Area, Burke County, Georgia" prepared by New South Associates.

Based on the information contained in this document, HPD concurs with the finding that.archaeological sites 9BK459 through 9BK465 should be considered ineligible for listing on the National Register of Historic Places.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact Elizabeth Shirk, Environmental Review Coordinator, at (404) 651-6624.

Sincerely, aren Anderson-Cordova Manager, Planning and Local Assistance Unit KAC/ECS cc:
