PILGRIM NUCLEAR POWER STATION - WITHDRAWAL OF A RELIEF REQUEST (TAC NO. MD8145)
Dear Sir or Madam:
By letter dated February 14, 2008, you applied for a relief request to the Pilgrim Nuclear Power Station (PNPS). The relief request would have modified the 10-Year Inservice Inspection (ISI)
Program to allow the use of Boiling Water Reactor Vessel Internal Program (BWRVIP) guidelines as an alternative to certain requirements of Section XI of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers Boiler and Pressure Vessel (ASME Code) for ISI of reactor vessel internal components.
Subsequently, by letter dated July 2, 2008, you withdrew the relief request since the PNPS will continue to comply with the ASME required examinations, irrespective of BWRVIP guidelines.
The purpose of this letter is to advise that the above cited application is being treated as withdrawn.
