Spina (CCNPP) to Doc ument Control Desk (NRC), dated August 22, 2007, Third Ten -Year Inservice Inspection Interval Requests for Relief from ASME Section XI Requirements In Reference (a), Ca lvert Cliffs Nuclear Power Plant submitted the Third Ten -Year Interval Inservice Inspection Program Plan. Requests for alternatives and relief related to the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME), Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code (Code),Section XI requirements were embedded within this Plan. A number of the requested relie fs and alternatives were subsequently approved via routine regulatory processes (i.e ., Regulatory Guide 1.147, Inservice Inspection Code Case Acceptability, ASM E Section XI, Division I) during the Third Ten-Year Interval. Reference (b) presented two relief requests that remained unapproved at that time (lS I-08 and ISI- 14). Upon further review, we have determined that relief request ISI-08 shou ld be withdrawn and are notifying you of the withdrawal of this relief request. Nuclear Regulatory Commission approval of the remaining relief request (ISI-14) is requested prior to the conclusion of the interval on June 30, 2009 .
