FERMI 2 - PLAN FOR REANALYSIS OF PLANT-SPECIFIC EMERGENCY CORE COOLING SYSTEM EVALUATION

Dear Mr. Davis:

By letter dated January 16, 2008, Detroit Edison reported, in accordance with Section 50.46(a)(3)(ii) of Part 50 of Title 10 of the Code of Federal Regulations, model changes or errors in the General Electric Plant-Specific Emergency Core Cooling System Evaluation for Fermi 2.

Detroit Edison also presented its plan to reanalyze the SAFER/GESTR-LOCA Loss-of-Coolant Accident Analysis for Fermi 2 due to the discovered error and to provide the reanalysis to the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) by June 30, 2008.

The NRC staff finds this schedule for reanalysis to be acceptable.
