Purpose of Todays Meeting To provide NRCs annual assessment of licensee performance at Surry for CY 2007 To discuss performance issues identified during the annual assessment To provide the Licensee an opportunity to respond to the annual assessment and to inform the NRC of new or existing initiatives to maintain or improve performance

Surry Power Station Assessment Results (Jan 1-Dec 31, 2007)

  • Surrys performance was within the Licensee Response Column of the Action Matrix for all four quarters.
  • No safety significant findings or PIs were identified
  • All inspection findings were classified as very low safety significance (Green).
  • During the assessment period there were fourteen violations of regulatory requirements.
  • All performance indicators were Green.

Surry Power Station Annual Assessment Summary (Jan 1- Dec 31, 2007)

  • Virginia Electric and Power Company operated the Surry Power Station in a manner that preserved public health and safety.
  • All cornerstone objectives were met.
  • NRC plans baseline inspections at North Anna for the remainder of CY 2008.
