Re: Ul Overpower?
- Folks, Just to bring you up to speed... Byron Unit 1 reduced power by about 34-38 MWe due to a problem with the installed AMAG instrumentation.
As you may recall, we have an outstanding issue where it appeared that Byron Unit 1 was operating at a higher power level that BWI, BW2 or BY2.
The licensee installed another ultrasonic meter on the common feedwater header and compared that value with the indicators on each of the feedwater lines.
The licensee determined that there was a significant difference such that they no longer have confidence in their AMAG instrumentation.
Pete has done a great job with keeping me informed of this fast paced issue this morning.
Many phone calls to Grant, Reynolds, Ruland, etc. were occuring in a short time period and I was able to inform at least hte Region III folks before their respective calls.
