We need to make sure that our OGC folks involved in the preparation of the staff for the upcoming criminal and civil proceedings is aware of/ has a copy of this report. Who has the responsibility to coordinate with OGC?

I also think that the agency needs to review the report and express the NRC position on the conclusions and issues raised in the report. Who has the lead on the review of the report?

Could I please get a cop ot the report. Thanks

This morning I received 3 copies + 3 CDs of the full Exponent report. Please let me know ifyou or anyone in your staff would like to review the report prior to the conference call scheduled for 3:00 pm today.

One hard copy + CD is currently with Jay Collins (415-4038).

One hard copy is with Bill Cullen (415-7510).

One hard copy and 2 CDs are with me (415-4037).

We are planning to make the call from Bill Bateman's office (O-9D4). I am aware of the following HQ participants:

To all, I am in the process of setting up a conference call with FENOC for Thursday, March 22, at 3 p.m. EDT/2 p.m. CDT.

The purpose of the call is for FENOC to discuss with us the details of the Exponent report that they have recently decided to make publicly available. FENOC plans on sending the report to us today, so that we can receive it by tomorrow. One copy will be sent to Region Ill, two copies will be sent to headquarters (Wengert and Collins) and a copy will be sent to the Document Control Desk to be entered into ADAMS as a publicly available document.

This is the report that NEIL has referenced in their letter to FENOC in which they identified what they believe to be a potential safety concern based on the Exponent report.

This is also the same report that Exponent and FENOC discussed with us on March 9, 2007 and stated that there is no safety concern.

I will provide the bridge number and passcode to you all shortly.

If you or any of your staff plans on participating in the call please respond to this e-mail.

I am also in the process of obtaining an electronic copy of the executive summary of the Exponent report K today, since we will only have a very short period of time to review the report before the Thursday call. If I
