.Page 11I Indian Point Energy Center Status Report August 13, 2007 Operational Status Indian Point Unit 2 is operating at 100 percent power and has been online for 75 days. Unit 3 is operating at 100 percent reactor power and has been on line for 103 days.
Siren Test Set for Aug. 14 Successful test conducted on Saturday Entergy Nuclear and Orange, Putnam, Rockland and Westchester counties are testing the new Indian Point emergency notification sirens on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. The full volume siren test performed on Saturday, Aug. 11 was successful with over 96% of the sirens sounding.
This test is part of federal requirements and is being run as part of a comprehensive performance validation program.
During the test, the new sirens will sound simultaneously at full-volume for four minutes in the portion Westchester, Rockland, Orange and Putnam counties that are within 10-miles of Indian Point, located in Buchanan, N.Y. WHUD Radio (100.7 FM) will test the Emergency Alert System immediately after the siren test.
THIS TEST ON AUGUST 14 REQUIRES NO RESPONSE BY THE PUBLIC For additional information on these siren tests see www.safesecurevital.org NRC to Conduct Meeting on Environmental Scoping Nuclear Regulatory Commission staff will conduct two public meetings on Wednesday, Sept. 19, on the environmental review related to the license renewal application for Indian Point.
Members of the public are invited to attend and comment on environmental issues they believe the NRC should consider during the license renewal process.
There will be two sessions held that day at Colonial Terrace, 119 Oregon Road in Cortlandt Manor, N.Y.
The first session will begin at 1:30 p.m. and continue until 4:30 p.m. The second

2 session, which will follow the same format as the first meeting, will get under way at 7 p.m. and continue until 10 p.m. The NRC will host an "open house" beginning 1 hour1.157407e-5 days <br />2.777778e-4 hours <br />1.653439e-6 weeks <br />3.805e-7 months <br /> before the start of each meeting to provide members of the public with an opportunity to talk informally with agency staff. However, formal comments must be expressed during the transcribed meetings. Both sessions will start with an overview and an NRC staff presentation on the environmental review process for license renewal applications.
After the NRC presentation, audience members will be given the opportunity to present their comments on environmental issues.
Educational Outreach Entergy Nuclear provides customized outreach education programs for schools, youth groups, and civic organizations. The topics we cover include Emergency Planning, Understanding Radiation, Nuclear Fuel and a general overview of the operations of Indian Point Energy Center.
