If I JohnWhite - IPEC status report for July 2 2007 Page 2 1 July 2 2007 Operational Status Indian Point Unit 2 is operating at 100 percent power and has been online for 33 days. Unit 3 is operating at 100 percent reactor power and has been on line for 61 days.
Entergy to Conduct Soundings for New Siren System During the next four weeks, Entergy will sound each new Indian Point siren for acoustical measurements. Every siren will sound at least once at full volume for four minutes. Specific sirens will sound between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. daily in order for Entergy to obtain the acoustic measurements.
During the week of July 2 through July 6, sirens in Putnam, Rockland and Orange counties may be activated as part of Entergy's commitment to the Federal Emergency Management Agency to obtain sound measurements from each of the 150 new IPEC sirens. There will be no sounding on the July 4th holiday.
NRC to Hold Meeting on Siren Project The NRC will hold a meeting with Entergy to discuss the status of the new siren system for the Indian Point Nuclear Power Plant on Monday, July 9, at Colonial Terrace, 119 Oregon Road, Cortlandt Manor, NY 10567.
There will be a walk-in information session from 5:30 to 6:25 p.m., with the meeting from 6:30-8:45pm and a public Q&A session from 8:45-9:45 p.m. The meeting is open to the public.
Educational Outreach Entergy Nuclear Northeast provides customized outreach education programs for schools, youth groups, and civic organizations. The topics
