On October 17, 2007, American Electric Power (AEP) announced that effective November 1, 2007, Michael W.
Rencheck will assume the duties of senior vice president and chief nuclear officer of the Donald C. Cook Nuclear Plant in Bridgman, Michigan. He succeeds Mano Nazar, who has accepted a position at Florida Power and Light (FPL) as senior vice president and chief operating officer responsible for the operation of all five FPL nuclear plants (Turkey Point, St. Lucie, Duane Arnold, Point Beach and Seabrook).
Mr. Rencheck joined AEP in 1998 as vice president - Nuclear Engineering at Cook and was named vice president -
Strategic Business Improvement at Cook in 2001. He became senior vice president - Engineering, Technical and Environmental Services for AEP in 2003 and was named senior vice president - Engineering, Projects and Field Services in January 2006.
